Peer review of the concept/scheme and detailed design proposals of a 70,000 TR district cooling plant incorporating an extensive chilled water thermal storage serving the new Abu Dhabi financial district located on Al Sowwah Island.
The district cooling plant has two independent distribution circuits one of which, System 2, is an essential dedicated chilled water supply with full resiliency backed up with emergency generators. The total capacity of 70,000 TR consists of:
- System 1 -15,000 TR
- System 2 -55,000 TR
- Thermal storage of approximately 54,000 TR.Hrs
