Description:
District Cooling and Main HV Electricial Distribution
Location:
Dubai, UAE
B&W undertook master planning of the electrical and district cooling utilities distribution for Sheikh Mohammad Gardens, a city planned for a population of 600,000.
The project necessitated strategic review of the master-plan to identify electrical and district cooling ‘load centres’ to determine optimum locations for district cooling plants and sub-stations to economise on distribution network losses and infrastructure capex.
B&W’s intent was to provide distributed cooling that would growth at the pace of the development to avoid over-commitment within infrastructure planning and capital investment.
