Najmat is one of three districts being developed on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.
Najmat occupies approximately 20% of Reem Island at 1.48km² and will be home to some 80,000 residents.
B&W provided design and post-contract consultancy services to Reem Developers for the district cooling plants, reticulation network and energy transfer stations associated with a connected cooling load of 115,000 TR, 400 MWt.
B&W undertook developer cooling load assessment, generated a site-wide guideline to rationalise Consultant designs and implemented an NOC process to administer and manage developer cooling loads to the benefit of all parties.
B&W also provided advice on the business plan for construction and operation of the district cooling plants.
