Najmat is one of the three districts being developed on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. It occupies approximately 20% of Reem Island at 1.48km² and will be home to some 80,000 residents.
Black & White provided design and post-contract consultancy services to Reem Developers for the district cooling plants, reticulation network, and energy transfer stations associated with a connected cooling load of 115,000 TR, 400 MWt. We undertook the developer cooling load assessment, generated a site-wide guideline to rationalise consultant designs, and implemented an NOC process to administer and manage developer cooling loads to the benefit of all parties. Furthermore, we provided advice on the business plan for construction and operation of the district cooling plants.
