The Intourist Hotel is part of Marriott International’s Autograph collection and overlooks the waterfront boulevard known as National Park, edging the Caspian Sea and in close proximity to the historic old city. The hotel comprises:
- 150 guest rooms and suites with full amenities
- Approximate GIA of 12,000m²
- Meeting Facilities and Restaurants
- Connection to on grade car park to the perimeter of the hotel
B&W undertook full MEP and specialist design services for AVIT, acoustics, fire and life safety and water features. Following contract award B&W deployed a full team of engineers lead by B&W’s Technical Director Paul Allen and Associate Director Jonathan Mitchell, to oversee the MEP construction activities, testing and commissioning to ensure smooth and defect free handover to the hotel operator. The hotel was granted unconditional occupational status by the Operator’s international verification team – an unprecedented achievement for the region and rarely achieved internationally.
The hotel was completed from conception to handover in 22 months (including 14 months for construction) and was modelled on the previous landmark Intourist Hotel.
