Full MEP and specialist design services including AVIT, acoustics, fire and life safety and swimming pool and water features for The Boulevard Hotel overlooking the Caspian Sea. The hotel is part of Marriott International’s Autograph portfolio and consists of the following facilities:
- 818 guest rooms and suites.
- Approximate GIA of 80,000m²
- Conference, meeting facilities, restaurants, spa and state of the art fitness centre
- Connection to on grade car park contained under the hotel
B&W undertook full MEP and specialist design services including AVIT, acoustics, fire and life safety and swimming pool and water features. Following contract award B&W deployed a full team of engineers to oversee the MEP construction activities, testing and commissioning to ensure smooth and defect free handover to the hotel operator.
The hotel was granted unconditional occupational status by the Operator’s international verification team – an unprecedented achievement for the region and rarely achieved internationally.
From conception to handover, the hotel was completed on programme in 24 months (including 16 months for construction) to accommodate visitors and participants for the June 2015 European Games hosted in Baku. The brownfield site was previously a shipyard – the entire White City district has been transformed with the hotel taking pride of place on the promenade.
