Baku Knightsbridge is a high end $300M low rise residential development located in Baku, Azerbaijan, designed to British Standards. The development consists of 5No residential courtyards, each comprising of 2No basement car park levels and 7No stories of apartments built to a Knightsbridge style. The building service design within each courtyard includes 35kV/400V substations, generators serving life safety equipment, complete building services within basement, risers and common circulation spaces as well as grey box (shell) apartment allowances.
One of the key challenges faced throughout this project has been ensuring the clients request for total layout flexibility has been met. With the Baku market yet to be tested B&W designed the services ensuring each courtyard could serve anything from larger apartments to smaller units.
