Celebrating 12 years!
As a company proud of its traditions, in true Black & White style we celebrated our 12th year anniversary with clients, colleagues and friends at the beginning of the month. I’m delighted that we have retained so many relationships over the years and am looking forward to the many new ones the region typically brings.
Our vision to become a leading global engineering consultancy is well underway with the opening of our Singapore office this year. We are also collaborating with TW International Counsel Pte Ltd (TWIn), a Singaporean specialist MEP consultancy with the purpose of engaging and maintaining a positive, collaborative and cooperative working relationship to develop and expand our activities in Singapore and Asia.
This strategic alliance brings together TWIn’s regional expertise in the Advanced Technology and Commercial sectors with Black & White’s global experience across several sectors including Advanced Technology, Retail, Hospitality and Super High Rise.
I am very excited and look forward to working with TWIn, there are obviously many synergies with our existing and target clients in the technology sector as well as many complimentary skills where we can assist and support each other across all projects.
This recent expansion brings us to a total of 8 offices serving Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia. Saudi Arabia is also on our radar with plans to open there by the end of this year and MOU’s are being finalised in several other areas including New Zealand and South Korea.

Our clients will receive a level of engineering and service excellence unsurpassed in the industry. Last year we were proud to have been recognised as the best in our industry by winning three major awards – Consultancy of the Year at the MEP Middle East Awards, Consultancy of the Year at the MEED Awards and MEP Engineering Consultant of the Year at the Middle East Consultant Awards. These awards are a testament to the exceptional level of proficiency, compliance, dependability and quality that we have achieved and deliver. In the past year we have been recognised for 19 awards, 8 of which have been personal awards supporting our claim that we employ the best talent in the industry.
Our first two recruits of our Student Sponsorship programme in Manila have now completed their first year of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the Philippines and are well on their way to ensuring a career in our industry.
As we continue our belief in investing in education, we are proud to be one of the latest companies to sponsor PlanBEE, a UK based training programme aimed at providing the relevant skills our industry needs right now. Our fist student joined our UK team at the beginning of the year and embarked on a tailored training programme to put MEP building services engineering theory into practice, developing designs, producing calculations using industry-leading software and learning BIM and Revit modelling. We are playing an important role in shaping the talent of the future and inspiring young people to consider a career in the world of construction.
I am looking forward to exciting times for the company due to the new opportunities in the coming months. We will continue to move forward and shape the future by staying ahead.
