As well as retaining some of the best talent in the industry we are continuing to invest in people and grow our team

Despite the difficult situation we all find ourselves in due to COVID-19 we have continued to expand and employ the best technical experts adding 32 new staff to our global teams in the last 6 months.

2020 has seen specialist training, job transfers, promotions and the relocation of some of our senior long-term UAE team members to Asia and Europe. This is part of our strategy to retain the best talent and enable our next generation to develop their career and evolve into more senior roles. We are very proud of our staff and their achievements.

Our staff development and mentoring structure is of high priority in order to carve attainable career paths for all our staff. We focus on developing specialists through maintaining individuals’ focus on specific sectors whilst also encouraging staff mobility and access to projects around the global business which exposes them to a broad spectrum of clients, environments and experience.  This has resulted in the development of specialists in data centres design who have become our global go-to experts enhancing our capability and credibility as technology experts.

At B&W we pursue sustainability in a fundamental way by looking at how our designs and solutions will impact the environment, the building function and life cycle. We are delighted that our 200th team member is Kevin Laugo (pictured) our first Sustainability Engineer to join our Global Design Hub in Manila, extending our engineering team’s expertise.

Kevin is a Licensed Mechanical Engineer and LEED Green Associate. He is a highly motivated and performance-driven mechanical engineering professional with 4 years of involvement in green building design and certification. He has extensive knowledge and experience in building energy modelling and façade thermal calculation.

Kevin is also proficient in building simulation tools which can be used to analyse, interpret and identify efficiency measures relating to building and systems energy performance while also considering economics. He strives to promote synergy and sustainability in a holistic approach.
