MEP Awards 2015

Black & White is thrilled that Jamie Darragh, one of our youngest engineers, has been recognised for his hard work, dedication and engineering brilliance by winning the Young Engineer of the Year Award category in the 2015 Middle East MEP Awards.

Jamie is a highly committed engineer having obtained chartered engineer status at only 28, he holds an MSc Project Management (Distinction), BEng (Honours) in Building Services Engineering and a Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering (Distinction).  He vigorously pushes energy conscious sustainable design and is accredited with the BRE. He is responsible for the development of B&W’s design mind set in adherence to LEED, Estidama and the Dubai GBG.

Jamie’s win means we now have 4 B&W engineers who have won Engineer of the Year awards since 2010.  This demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the ongoing development and personal growth of our talented team and providing them with opportunities to put into practise innovative ideas and solutions for our valued clients.

Jumeirah College DXB Rugby 7s B&W Sponsorship

Black & White is delighted to be sponsoring Jumeirah College’s 2015 Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Tournament teams.

This year the college has three teams competing.

Two are in the Gulf Under 19 competition which consists of 20 teams from the gulf states with the standard being very high.

The third team is the Jumeirah College Alumni side, playing its first tournament in the International Social competition made up of 32 teams from around the world, again with an extremely high standard.  All players are Jumeirah College ex-pupils – some have not played since school and some are outstanding players who play for their universities and clubs located in the UK, SA and Australia amongst others.

The sponsorship is part of B&W’s ongoing commitment to supporting sport for youth and the wider community.

We wish them every success for the tournament.
