07 Sept 14 – Top 50 MEP contractors and consultants
Black & White Engineering featured in Construction Week magazine’s Top 50 MEP Contractors and Consultants article, written by Cathal McElroy on Sep 7, 2014 and was the highest ranked specialist MEP consultancy at number 27.
The consultancy formerly known as Red Engineering Middle East has had a year of considerable change. Now under its Black and White Engineering (B&W) banner, the firm has undergone a full rebrand following CEO Mick Cairns’ obtaining of a full controlling interest in the company via an equity transfer and change in ownership. All projects on which Red Engineering Middle East was working (such as Marina Gate Towers in Dubai) are now on B&W’s books, while all previous projects on which the old company had worked have become project references.
“With an extensive and loyal client base covering the wider Middle East region and projects undertaken in 14 countries, coupled with a strong base of existing and exciting projects filling our order book, the company will continue to deliver to discerning clients MEP engineering design solutions that meet the unique challenges found in this part of the world,” says Cairns. “The entire team remains on board and we are actively recruiting to satisfy our predicted 25-30% growth, supported by a strong balance sheet.
“The opportunities are numerous as we continue to gain a strong foothold in new markets and sectors – we have a 12 month back log of design work with a huge increase in supervision workload to follow. We are negotiating several major projects due to be announced in the coming weeks.
